JAKARTA - YouTube is again introducing new seasonal recaps of your top artists, songs, albums and playlists to YouTube Music, starting with Spring Recap. YouTube launched its annual Spotify Wrapped-style recap at the end of last year, but now YouTube owner Google is taking the concept further with a seasonal rundown.

"Similar to Recap 2021, you'll find personalized content on the Spring Recap landing page in the YouTube Music app along with a personalized Spring Recap playlist," wrote YouTube product manager Ayshaw Khan in a blog post.

“Want to tell your friends about your favorite Spring song? Easily share your Spring Recap playlists and stats by simply tapping the arrow at the bottom of your stats card,” added Khan.

Spotify's annual recap release usually marks a few exciting days on the internet each year. Of course, it's always fun to carefully assess what music people listen to the most. It seems YouTube is trying to make that shared experience a more frequent tradition.

If you have a recap available, share it right away. But for some users the recap hasn't shown up when scanning their YouTube Music page. This can happen if Apple Music users, who want to share an Apple Music Replay 2022 playlist, haven't heard enough music to make it a Spring Recap.
