BMW Motorrad Gets More Than 210 Thousand Global Sales Throughout 2024

JAKARTA - The German motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad closed in 2024 by successfully selling 210,408 units as well as obtaining its strongest results in history from this brand.

For 12 months in 2024, the European region became the largest market of BMW Motorrad, along with the United States (US), Asia, and Latin America.

BMW Motorrad chief Markus Flasch said the manufacturer also managed to become a leader in the premium motorcycle segment thanks to the presence of several new models with innovative technology.

"With the strongest sales results in the company's history, BMW Motorrad has outstandingly claimed its first position in the world in the premium motorcycle segment," Flasch said on the brand's official website, Tuesday, January 21.

In last year's gains in Europe, BMW Motorrad obtained sales of up to 118,727 units, an increase of 8 percent. Germany is still the market leader in the region with 26,177 units, followed by France up to 20,693 units, Italy totaling 16,617 units, and Spain with a total of 13,009 units.

Meanwhile, the Central European region contributed sales of up to 11,411 units that experienced an increase of more than 12 percent.

In other regions such as the US achieved impressive performance by successfully selling 17,272 motorcycles, followed by Brazil with 15,267 units, China with 13,872 units, and India with 8,301 units.

Furthermore, boxer models such as R 1300 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure, and R 1300 GS Adventure, more than 68,000 have been sent to customers worldwide, as well as R 1250 GS.

A 4-cylinder sports model such as the BMW S 1000 RR has solidified its peak position by obtaining sales of 11,610 units of 27,147 high-performance motorcycles from the BMW Motorrad M.

From the middle to 500 cc class segments, it was sold up to 40,890 units with the updated F-Series represented by F 800 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, F 900 R, and F 900 XR. Meanwhile, the G 310 GS, G 310 R, and G 310 RR models sold 22,339 units.
