JAKARTA - Bajaj Auto has intensively released its newest motorcycle teaser, Bajaj Pulsar NS400 through its social media account. Finally. Today, Friday 3 May, the largest motorbike from the ranks of Pulsar that has ever been produced was launched as well as making it the most affordable motorcycle in the 400cc segment.

The following is a summary of the specifications and features that have been revealed, reported by Bikedekho, May 3.

Design

The NS400 pulsar carries a similar design to other NS pulsar series, but with some changes. The main changes are in the headlights which now use a LED projector with a lightning-shaped DRL. The mirror is similar to the Bajaj Dominar 400, most likely using the same component. Upside down front suspension with gold finishing adds to the premium impression on this bike.

The fuel tank is muscular, like the characteristics of the NS series. However, in NS400 the curve looks more stubborn than the NS200 pulsar. This tank is also equipped with a tank shield similar to NS200. The motor seat is separated from the passenger begel separately. The back is sharp, similar to NS200.

For color choice, Bajaj Pulsar NS400 offers 4 options: red, white, gray with red accent, and gray with neon yellow accents.

Machines, Rangka, And Performance

The NS400 pulsar uses the same 373.3cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Dominar. The power produced by this machine is 40PS and 35Nm. However, it is estimated that Bajaj will adjust the gear ratio to match the streetfighter character of NS400. This can be seen from a pocket that is different from the Dominar one, so it is possible that Bajaj will provide a more sporty tuning.

NS400 uses the same perimeter frame as other NS series. However, in NS400 the frame is larger and stronger to accommodate a more powerful 373.3cc engine and heavier motor weight.

Suspension uses an upside down in front and a monoshock with the gas behind. While the rim is 17 inches behind with an MRF Revz-S tire. The braking uses a disk on both wheels with a Grimeca cayeper. This motor will be equipped with a dual-channel ABS as the standard.

NS400 uses a color LCD instrument panel with TFT insertion to the right. The panel features speed, fuel, gear position, odometer, and tripmeter. The instrument panel also features smartphone connections such as turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS notification. Navigation information will be displayed on the TFT insertion to the right.

This instrument panel also displays driving mode and traction control. Based on the image, there are 4 modes: Road, Sport, Rain, and Off-Road. However, it is not yet known whether this mode affects engine performance or only adjusts ABS.

The left button NS400 is redesigned and looks similar to the KTM 390 Duke. In addition, this motorbike will be equipped with a full LED light.

Prices And Others

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is priced at 185,000 rupees or the equivalent of Rp35.6 million and delivery starts this June. With this price it makes it much more affordable than its competitors in the 300-400cc segment such as KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and TVS Apache RTR 310.
