Kawasaki Boyong ZX-6R To The Indian Market To Compete With Honda CBR650R

JAKARTA - Good news for Kawasaki motorcycle lovers in India. The manufacturer, which is synonymous with green, officially brought the latest Ninja ZX-6R into the country's market "Child of Continents".

According to RushLane, Tuesday, January 2, the motor offers the exterior colors of Metallic Graphite Gray and Lime Green. The touch of ZX-10R is also visible on this bike through a more aerodynamic full-fairing section.

The motorbike, which is included in the medium-class sports motorcycle segment, offers a supersport style with a large central air intake, flanked by a separate LED headlights setup. The windshield is designed in such a way to be friendly to driver visibility, along with aerodynamic ORVM.

The typical design of the Ninja series is also seen in the back which is lifted with a rear light that resembles a sacrificial weapon. The fairing section is packaged with priority to the aerodynamic side which allows motorists to ride their motorbikes better.

In order to support dynamic driving needs, Kawasaki equipped the model with a front fork suspension of Showa Big Piston (SFF-BP) telescopic USD 41 mm and a rear monoshock from the Uni-Trak. Both suspensions get compression, rebound, and preload adjustments.

The legs are also equipped with 17-inch rims covered with 120-70 tires on the front and 185-55 on the back. The braking system is equipped with a double disk of 310 mm in front along with a four-piston Kaliper and a single disk of 220 mm behind with a single piston cap.

For the engine, Kawasaki ZX-6R has a 636 cc 4-cylinder engine that is fresh capable of pumping up to 128 bhp of power and a maximum torque of 69 Nm. This performance is supported by six gigboks of acceleration with a slipper cluster which makes it easier for motorcyclists to spur their motorbikes.

In addition, this motorbike is equipped with several technologies such as Kawasaki Track Control (KRTC), Power Modes (Full/Low), Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System (KIBS), and Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS).

Competing with Honda CBR650R in the motorcycle segment of more than 500 cc, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is priced at 1,109,000 rupees or equivalent to Rp206 million.
