Yamaha Releases Update Of Two Models Of Motorcycle Sport For Beginner Drivers

JAKARTA - Yamaha is again pampering novice riders by launching a variety of the latest sports motorcycles in several countries, including Japan. Recently, the manufacturer released YZF-R125 and YZF-R15 in 2023 for the Japanese market.

These two motorcycles carry a distinctive sport style, but are in different classes, namely the Moped Class 2 and Light Motorcycle. The design of the two is also inspired by their larger brothers and sisters, such as the YZF-R7 and YZF-R1.

Reporting from Rideapart on Friday, September 22, both YZF-R15 and YZF-R125 are equipped with various impressive features, including the Assist and Slipper Clunch, which improves control during dental movement, providing smoother driving.

The ease of driving is further enhanced by the existence of a traction control system, which gives confidence to novice drivers in various conditions.

Yamaha, known as the Tala fork logo, also provides these two models with other advanced technologies, such as LED headlights and LCD instrument panels similar to the previous generation of YZF-R1.

The modern and sporty appearance of these two motorbikes is supported by 17-inch rims and the latest suspension system with overturned front forks and rear monoshocks mounted on aluminum arm swing.

Although both are entry-level Yamaha models, their performance remains impressive. YZF-R15 has a single cylinder engine with a capacity of 155 cc, while YZF-R125 carries a 155 cc capacity engine as well.

Despite the different engine capacities, Yamaha provides both with a liquid cooling system, fuel injection, and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), which helps optimize fuel efficiency and provides torques at low rounds, as well as provides impressive power in high rounds.

The power generated from the machine is channeled to the rear wheels through a manual transmission of six accelerations equipped with a slipper cluster as a standard, and a quick-shifter as an option.

Both motorcycles will be available in Japan starting October 16 at a price of 517.000 yen or around IDR 53.6 million for YZF-R125, and 550,000 yen or equivalent to IDR 57 million for YZF-R15.
