Light Cases Make Thousands Of Tesla Cybertrucks Recalled

JAKARTA The automotive manufacturer from the United States, Tesla, has again withdrawn thousands of units of Cybertruck electric pickups due to problems with additional light components at the top of the vehicle. A total of 6,197 Cybertruck units had to be recalled.

The affected is the Foundation series which was produced between the end of 2023 and 2024 which was affected in this withdrawal. The main problem lies in the additional LED lights (light bar) installed on the windshield, as reported by ArenaEV, Saturday, November 1, 2025.

The component uses an adhesive system in the installation. In a number of cases, the installation is not carried out according to instructions so that the light bar has the potential to release when the vehicle is traveling and poses a safety risk for other road users.

In a report submitted to the United States highway safety authority (NHTSA), Tesla revealed that it had received more than six hundred guarantee claims related to this matter. However, until now there have been no reports of accidents, injuries, or casualties due to the incident.

Tesla explained that the main cause stems from errors in the use of two different types of adhesive. BetaPrime primaries should be used on the windshield, while BetaSeal for LED lights.

However, in the production process, several technicians were found to have incorrectly reversed their use so that the strength of the bonds was not optimal.

As a costless improvement measure for consumers, Tesla will examine all affected units.

If delamination or damage is found in the light bar, the component will be replaced with a new version that uses adhesive tape as well as an additional mechanical binding system.

Meanwhile, units that are not damaged will get a booster bracket installed so that the lights are stronger attached to the vehicle's body. This is not the first time the Cybertruck has been withdrawn.

Previously, this electric pickup model was also withdrawn due to problems with the body panel and accelerator pedal.

The latest incident confirms that Tesla is still facing challenges in its quality supervision as well as the process of installing optional accessories on its production vehicles.

The owner of the Cybertruck series Foundation is advised to immediately contact Tesla's full-sales service to ascertain whether its vehicles are included in the recall list and schedule further checks.
