Mercedes-Maybach Roadster Paving In India, The Price Is Almost IDR 8 Billion

JAKARTA - Germany's super luxury automotive brand, Mercedes-Maybach inaugurated the launch of the SL 680 Monogram Series for the Indian market after being launched globally last year.

Launching from Autocar India, Tuesday, March 18, SL 680 Monogram Series is the most sporting model in the Mercedes-Maybach lineup and is priced at 42 million rupees, equivalent to IDR 7.9 billion.

The manufacturer has opened an order for the super premium roadster with the Indian market getting only three units of allocation per year.

The SL 680 Monogram Series has a scintillating appearance with a chrom coated goal on the front with vertical blades that can turn on. In addition, the roadster now has the words Maybach which highlight the exclusive impression.

The bumper and engine hood were colored by Obsidian Black, decorated with many Maybach logos, providing unique details on this one car.

Not only that, the owner of this car can also choose the option of attaching a number of these logos to the roof of the soft-top cloth which is part of the customization program.

The roadster has a 21-inch forged rim decorated by 36 fingers connected to the three-point star' emblem in the middle. The sleek chrome strip stretches across the side between the top of the rim, the door handle, and the front fender which also has chrom elements.

Like the front, the back bumper that is finer and decorated with chrome looks calmer than the SL roadster.

The luxury aura is also radiated on its interior with a white cabin covered with Nappa skin which is a line of personalized products from Mercedes.

The car is also equipped with the latest three-finger steering wheel decorated with the words 'Maybach'. Meanwhile, the roll hood behind the back of the chair head is also decorated with the iconic Maybach logo.

Mercedes-Maybach also provides comfort in this car with 12.3-inch driver screens and 11.9-inch central touch screens similar to SL 63. This is supported by an AI-based MBUX system.

Supporting its performance, the SL 680 Monogram Series has a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces up to 585 hp and 800 Nm torque. Combined with the transmission of nine automatic accelerations and four-wheel drive, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 4.1 seconds with a maximum speed of 260 km/hour.
