Launching This Year In Indonesia, Jaecool J5 EV Can Be Ordered!

JAKARTA - Even though it is still the age of corn, the Chinese car brand Jaecoo has a strong commitment in the Indonesian automotive market. One clear evidence is to present a line of purely Jaecool J5 EV electric vehicles.

Being a global debut in Indonesia, this electric car has a modern and futuristic exterior design. Unfortunately, the interior has not been disclosed by this Chinese brand, but it is estimated that it is not much different from the ICE version that already exists in China.

Those who want to bring this electric car to the garage can already do it. Yes, Jaecool has opened the tap for ordering an electric car for J5 EV. This was revealed by Ryan Ferdian Tirto, Head of Product Jaecool Indonesia.

"It can be ordered with a booking fee of IDR 5-10 million," he said on the sidelines of the 'Jaecoo Super Hybrid Marathon Jakarta-Bali Long Range Test Drive' event in Bali, Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Jaecool has not released the specifications of the car, including the price. However, according to Jaecool Indonesia's Head of Marketing, Evan Anganantika, many have wanted to book the car (Jaeckoo J5 EV) at IIMS 2025.

"Because they forced (orders) to finally be allowed. If I'm not mistaken, there are three Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK) and they are willing to wait until the car is officially sold," said Evan.

Later, Jaecoo plans to produce this car in Indonesia by utilizing production facilities from Handal Motor Indonesia. That way, the price will certainly compete with several electric car models in one segment.

So, it is worth waiting for the official launch of Jaecool J5 EV in Indonesia and is predicted to launch at the GIIAS 2025 event in July.
