BYD Adds Car Model Ranks, MPV Hybrid Xia Will Launch This Year

JAKARTA - Build Your Dream (BYD) will remove the sheath of its newest model targeting the luxury market in the PHEV Xia Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) category.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Monday, January 6, BYD will launch MPV Xia at Beijing National Aquatic Center starting at 19:30 Beijing Time on January 8, and of course much awaited by automotive lovers.

MPV Xia itself is included in the premium segment under the Dynasty ranks of BYD who will enter the MPV ranks of BYD, just like Denza D9.

In specifications, MPV Xia has a length of 5,145 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, and a height of 1,805 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm. The dimensions are smaller than Denza D9 which has a PxLxT of 5,250 mm, 1,960 mm, 1,920 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm.

The car is powered by an engine with a capacity of 1,498 ml and a maximum power of 115 kW, and has an electric motor with a maximum power of 200 kW, based on disclosure last October.

Previously, BYD had introduced Xia on the first day of the Chengdu car exhibition on August 30. So how much is the price for the model?

It is stated that Xia's MPV will be priced at around 300,000 yuan or around Rp663 million, the figure is not an official announcement, and it could be that the price is cheaper in line with some Chinese brands that apply it.
