Wuling Officially Launches New SUV, There Are BEV And PHEV Versions

JAKARTA - Wuling officially launched its new SUV, Starlight S in China, which for some time had its official images raised to the public.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, August 29, this SUV will target family consumers and be offered in five variants consisting of Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).

By design, this one car looks very modern and is embedded with the Wuling logo on the front, various sharp curves from the side to the back confirm that this car looks futuristic. Speaking of dimension, it comes with a length of 4,745 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1685 mm with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

Entering the cabin, this one car is equipped with a 15.6-inch central screen, an 8.8-inch instrument panel and a vehicle operating system that has been supported by Ling OS and has been supported by OTA updates, to speech recognition. It is equipped with an electrically regulated leather seat (for the driver).

In more detail, the BEV is powered by an electric motor in front of 150 kW and 310 Nm with a Shanlian 2C 60 KwH battery pack that offers a distance of 510 km in CLTC counts, and a top speed of 175 km/hour.

With fast charging, Wuling claims that 15 minutes of charging can increase the distance to 200 km. Meanwhile, air conditioning takes 10 hours to recharge from 20 to 80 percent.

In addition, the PHEV variant, supported by a naturally assisted 1.5L engine that produces 105 hp) and a torque of 130 Nm, and is embedded with an electric motorbike of 150 kW, combined with an E-CVT. There are two different Shenlian battery packages, namely 9.5 kWh and 20.5 kWh, which provide pure CLTC electric travel distances of 60 km and 130 km, respectively.

Questioning the price, the Wuling Starlight S is offered starting from 99,800 yuan or around Rp. 216 million to the most expensive to touch 129,800 yuan or around Rp. 281 million.
