Chinese Brand BAIC Enters Indonesia's Automotive Market, Brings 2 Models At The Same Time

JAKARTA - Car brands from China continue to arrive in Indonesia, just like BYD at the beginning of last year and most recently, namely BAIC through distribution partners of PT Jio Distribution Indonesia (JDI).

BAIC is under the auspices of Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd, which is China's 5th largest producer.

"We are very proud and happy to have won the trust of Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd to market the BAIC brand in Indonesia," said Chief Operating Officer of PT JDI Dhani Yahya, in his statement, Friday, March 29.

BAIC is one of Beijing's flagship brands Automotive Group Co., Ltd, where they also have several other brands sold not only in China's domestic market, but also exported to other major countries in the world.

"This company also has close cooperation with world automotive manufacturers and is still establishing good cooperation through Beijing-Benz and Beijing-Hyundai, one of which is," he added.

Not only one model, BAIC will start marketing in Indonesia through two mainstay models, namely BJ-40 PLUS and BAIC X55-II, a dashing SUV that is indeed attracting attention.

"We have a commitment, including to immediately appoint selected partners to cooperate as our official Dealer, besides that we are also committed to becoming part of the Automotive Industry in Indonesia by joining as a member of GAIKINDO as soon as possible," he said.
