JAKARTA - The spirit of the late Glenn Fredly in introducing and fighting for East Indonesian music to the national stage seems never really extinguished.

The legacy is now ready to be revived through a collaborative cross-generational music festival titled "Glenn Fredly Back to the East".

The festival, which was initiated by Bumi Entertainment in collaboration with MAS Live, is scheduled to take place at the Plaza Festival Hockey Field, South Jakarta, on August 1.

No small matter, as many as 21 musicians across generations are confirmed to be ready to rock the stage in a full day of music and cultural celebration.

The wife of the late Glenn Fredly, Mutia Ayu, said that this event was designed not only as a regular music performance. This stage is an emotional means to revive love and collective memory of music lovers.

"Glenn Fredly Back to the East is not just a concert, but a celebration of the works and love that Glenn left for us all. There will be many moments that remind us of the songs that have accompanied various phases of life," said Mutia Ayu in her statement.

In line with this, Conrad Good Vibration, one of the reggae musicians who took part in this festival, emphasized the values of the culture carried. According to him, this festival is a symbol of strong brotherhood among artists of East origin.

"Because this is not just a music event, but it is a celebration of love, nostalgia, brotherhood, and a cultural party," said Conrad.

Conceptually, this festival will be divided into three main segments that run from noon to night. As an opener, the audience will be invited to feel the warmth of the Makan Patita tradition, a typical Maluku community eating culture that symbolizes gratitude, togetherness, and brotherhood without barriers.

While enjoying the meal, visitors will be accompanied by nostalgic performances from the 1980s to the 2000s through collaborations by senior musicians such as Corr Tetelepta, Arles Tita, Jimmy Titarsole, and Hany Pattikawa.

Entering the afternoon, the festival atmosphere will transform into a dance party before sunset. The stage will be taken over by Moluccan Soul in collaboration with a Dutch DJ, Miguell Kaidel, as well as Maria De Lima who is ready to bring modern music arrangements from popular East Indonesian songs.

The climax of the excitement will continue at night through the performances of Marion Jola, Wizz Baker, Silet Open Up, Toton Caribo, Fresly Nikijuluw, Mitha Talahatu, and Doddie Latuharhary with Dennis & Friends.

As a conclusion, the audience will be presented with the concept of the ultimate performance "Re/magine Glenn Fredly with The Bakuucakar". This concept combines the futuristic visual treat of the late Glenn Fredly who will perform in sync as if singing directly with his loyal band, The Bakuucakar, as well as other collaborating musicians.

For music lovers who want to attend, the organizers provide three ticket categories that can be accessed officially through the website www.ibudibjo.com, the official WhatsApp hotline, or direct purchase at the Ibu Dibjo Office located at the Beverly Tower Building, South Jakarta.
