The Price Of BYD Electric Cars Will Be Announced During IIMS? This Is What The Company Said

JAKARTA - Build Your Dreams (BYD) is one of the new players in the country, bringing three models at once, namely Dolphin as entry level, Atto 3 which is selling well in Thailand to Seal, which is a challenger for Tesla to Ioniq 5.

It is certain that BYD will participate in the Indonesia International Auto Show (IIMS) 2024 exhibition, and on that occasion many think that the manufacturer will announce the prices of the three electric cars. Because previously at the launch there was no nominal price announced.

Responding to this, the Head of Marketing Communication of PT BYD Motor Indonesia (BMI) Luther T. Panjaitan said that he could not confirm that everything would be disclosed during the exhibition (IIMS).

"I can't say yes and I can't say no either, it's a lot because we depend on a lot of components, we really want it as soon as possible," he said, during the drive BYD Dolphin test session in the Jakarta area.

He further said there were many factors that affected before BYD released the prices of the three cars. Many think that the Dolphin model is priced at IDR 300 million.

"Regarding our price, we are still analyzing, but in my opinion, the Indonesian market is measurable. Then the segment is well differentiable based on the need, for example, the number of families, then the work, then the regional GDP, all of them must be research," he explained.

As additional information, the car has been marketed in various countries, including Thailand. Indeed, each country has a varying price. How much is the right price for these three BYD cars?
