Hyundai Launches Bayon Facelift With Improved Features

JAKARTA - Hyundai completed the SUV lineup by launching a facelift version of the Bayon model. The car, which will compete in the B-SUV class in Europe, has increased including smart connectivity and safety.

Reporting from the official website of the Hyundai Europe, Thursday, January 18, Bayon is decorated with a sharp display with elongated LED DRL blades to create a Seamless Horizon illumination at the front. Furthermore, the design of the front bumper and radiator grip is refined to create a bolder look, such as the latest generation of Kona.

The bold look continues on the back with a redesigned bumper. Then, this compact-dimensional SUV is equipped with the latest 16-inch and 17-inch design rims. The side offers a dynamic look that provides a performance in the form of a spur.

The inside features a 4.2-inch LCD cluster with a 10.25-inch Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) screen. The 10.25-inch digital cluster screen is also presented as an optional with different graphics. Then, other features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, and BlueLink are also presented.

The latest Bayon features a relieved interior with a strong focus on maximizing the comfort of front and rear passengers, as well as a large baggage chamber. interior lighting has also carried LED lights in order to improve lighting and have ambient lighting technology on the front.

Safety features were also presented consisting of Lane Following Assist (LFA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Driver Attention Warning (DEW), and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA).

To make it easier for drivers, Hyundai also presents leading features such as the Navigation Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), which uses data from the vehicle navigation system to set speeds independently when driving on highways or toll roads.

Although it comes with several improved features and a newer design, this South Korean manufacturer maintains a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine, which provides 100 ps of runway and 172 Nm of torque and the highest reaches 120 ps of similar torque.

The manufacturer is still silent about the price of this model. However, the previous version of Bayon has been sold for a price of 21,750 pounds, equivalent to Rp431.9 million for the UK and European markets.
