Lexus Presents LBX High Performance, Carrying Machines From Toyota GR Corolla

JAKARTA - Launched in June 2023, LBX was positioned as an affordable SUV model from Lexus. This car is a semi-premium-style urban vehicle.

But that doesn't mean Lexus is not tempted to present a high-performance version of this model which is clearly more fun to drive.

Recently, Lexus launched LBX Morizo RR Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. The manufacturer said that the car not only improved the quality of its car, but was equipped with a fairly sporty design.

Reporting from the brand's official website, Friday, January 12, it turns out that the development of this high-performance SUV also involves the boss of the parent company, namely the Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, Akio Toyoda or nicknamed the 'Morizo' or 'Master Driver'. His own nickname is embedded in this edition of LBX.

The crossover is decorated with a touch of Morizo's typical yellow color, consisting of a spinal cord, calibre brake, and a seat belt with the Morizo RR logo around it. The car is equipped with a sports seat, an alloy pedal, and a colored steering wheel arch.

Thus, Lexus LBX Morizo RR combines the sporty elements with the brand's distinctive premium, so that motorists can comfortably and freely drive this vehicle. The legs are equipped with 19-inch alloy rims that are exclusive to the 235/45R19 tires.

For the engine part, this car is equipped with the same engine as a GR Corolla, namely a G16E-GTS 3-cylinder with a turbocharger with an increase of 305 dk and a 400 Nm torque. Just like GR Yaris facelift, this car uses direct shift eight automatic accelerations connected to driving all wheels (AWD).

Unfortunately, Lexus has not mentioned the sales time of this model. However, this car has an enchanting Sonic Chrome with Black exterior color.
