Get To Know The Difference Between Wuling Air EV Lite And Seres E1 In The Economic Electric Vehicle Market

The 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) is the main stage for automotive manufacturers to introduce their newest products.

Seres introduced the E1 variant last May, but GIIAS 2023 became an opportunity to disclose the official price of this car. Although Seres E1 has stolen attention with its electric car that is compact and affordable, Wuling Motors has also succeeded in presenting an interesting surprise.

Wuling Motors, which has been active in the Indonesian automotive market for the past 6 years, presents Air EV Lite, the lowest variant of their compact EV model, at a price below Rp200 million.

The E1 and Air EV Lite series certainly have some differences that make these two products so interesting. Anything?

Dimension

The E1 series has dimensions with a length of 3,030 mm, a width of 1,495 mm, a height of 1,640 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,960 mm. This car also has a fairly high ground clearance of 135 mm. The E1 series also has a good lighting system with a DRL LED light.

Meanwhile, Waling Air ev Lite has a length of 2,974 mm, a width of 1,505 mm, 1,631 mm, a wheelbase of 2,010 mm, and a ground clearance of 125 mm.

Battery capacity and distance

The E1 series is available in two variants, namely Type B and Type L. Type B equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 13.8 kWh, which is capable of traveling a distance of up to 180 km and charging from 10 to 90 percent in 3.5 hours using an AC Type 2. Meanwhile, Type L with a battery capacity of 16.8 kWh is capable of traveling a distance of up to 220 km and charging from 10 to 90 percent in 4 hours. Both types have a driving motor with a power of 33 dk and a 100 Nm torque for Type B, as well as 40 dk and a 100 Nm torque for Type L.

Wuling Air EV Lite, although the lowest variant in the Air EV family, has an 18 kWh-capacity lithium ferro-phosphate battery that allows a distance of up to 200 km in a single charge.

Features

Both are equipped with abundant features. E1 series that have several safety features such as Collision Power Failure Protection, Battery System Thermal Management, Charging Port Cover Reminder, and High Voltage Safety Monitoring. This is also added with other features, namely advanced features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brave Assist (BA), Hill Hold Control, parking cameras, cruise control, and driving modes are pinned wisely.

Air ev Lite has features that are not much different from Seres E1. However, what makes this car special is the easy home charging feature that is able to provide convenience in charging anywhere, even at home with a minimum strength of 2,200 watts.

Both cars have also been equipped with IP67 batteries through extreme testing, so customers don't have to worry if the battery will be damaged or damaged even in unexpected conditions.

Price

The price of both is also not too much different. With the advanced technology carried, Seres E1 is sold at an affordable price. Type B sells for IDR 189 million, while Type L is priced at IDR 219 million.

Wuling Air EV Lite is offered at a price of Rp. 188.9 million, and includes VAT incentives. The Lite variant is the only one in the Air EV family that is sold under Rp. 200 million.

Seres E1 and Wuling Air EV Lite have their own advantages. The presence of both enlivens the electric vehicle market in Indonesia at friendly prices in bags, while offering a simple design and complete features.
