Mazda 2 Comes With Update For Thai Market, Provides Diesel Options

JAKARTA - One of Mazda's mainstay models, namely Mazda 2, recently received an update with a different appearance with the best features.

After launching in Japan, Mazda 2 facelift will land its tires in Thailand. Although these changes are not significant, Mazda also presents one other variant with a different goal design.

Reporting on the Thailand Autolife page, Wednesday, June 21, the facelift version presented at Mazda 2 is quite the same as the one marketed in Japan where the standard variant uses a closed grILL whose color blends with the car body.

The highest variant features a culling with a Bazel Hitam Glossy-colored honeycomb pattern which is useful for maintaining the temperature of the car engine with a sporty look more than the previous variant.

Another change pinned by Mazda 2 facelifts is at the bottom of the bumper, which features a hole that acts as the aerodynamics of the car.

Changes are also displayed on the back with a change that is on the lower bumper. Mazda 2 facelift comes with a back beper with a dynamic shape that blends with the color of the body.

Mazda offers an update to its interior with some of the latest color and trim options. Despite adding interior color options, Mazda 2 faceslift still uses a leather seat equipped with a HUD and touchscreen that can connect with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Mazda 2 facelifts are presented with two different engine variants. The first one is a 1.299 cc Skyactiv-G 4-cylinder gasoline engine which can produce 93 dk of power and a 123 Nm torque. The performance is also due to the automatic transmission of six accelerations.

Moving to another variant, Mazda presents a larger diesel engine with 1,499 cc Skyactiv-D 4-cylinder which produces a maximum power of 105 dk and a torque of 250 Nm, which cooperates with an automatic transmission of six accelerations.

Mazda sells the hatchback at an affordable price. Starting at a price of 599,000 baht or a range of Rp250 million for the 1.3 C AT variant and the highest variant 1.5 XDL AT of 830.000 baht or Rp355 million.
