JAKARTA - Today's memory, five years ago, July 31, 2020, the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), Tito Karnavian, reprimanded the Deputy Mayor of Palu, Sigit Purnomo Syamsuddin Said (Pasha Ungu) due to stranding hair. Tito emphasized that the work as a state official must advance ethical matters, not style.

Previously, Pasha Ungu was known as a musician who swerved into the world of politics. This condition makes Pasha often carried away by the spirit of musicians. Pasha's appearance, especially the hair model, is often considered eccentric and controversial as an official.

Pasha's career with the classy Ungu band. They were able to become one of the idol bands of young Indonesians. The songs are widely played everywhere. Calls for concerts are piled up. The narrative brings great popularity.

Over time, Pasha, who is actually a vocalist of Ungu, seemed like a vacuum from the Indonesian entertainment industry. He then tried to swerve to a new world: politics. He looked at the steps to become Deputy Mayor of Palu to accompany Hidayat and succeeded in 2016.

The problem with Pasha's hairstyle then reached Tito Karnavian's family. The Minister of Home Affairs reprimanded Pasha for herrobial hairstyle on July 31, 2020. Pasha was asked to understand the code of ethics as a state official.

Tito also understands that Pasha has an artist's soul. One thing that makes Pasha need an expression space. However, not in terms of hairstyle. Pasha's creativity is asked to be channeled in other fields.

"I understand maybe he (Pasha) is from an artistic background, his soul is. But he must also be able to place between as an artist and as a bureaucrat who has a code of ethics, his own culture as a bureaucrat."
