Allegations of fake diplomas against polycus are not new. Fake diploma cases do not only target representatives of the people. However, not a few state officials are suspected of using fake diplomas for the sake of existence. Take false diploma accusations against Queen Atut Chosiyah.

The governor of Banten in the 2007-2015 era was accused of using a fake diploma from the University of Borobudur. The accusation of fake Diplomas was conveyed by his political opponent in the 2006 Banten Gubernatorial Election, Marissa Haque. The excitement appears everywhere.

Queen Atut is not new to the political map of Banten. Her existence in politics has been opened by her father, Haji Chasan since the 1970s. Her father was known as a community leader and contractor who recently became a politician.

Haji Chasan's existence intensified when he controlled many projects in Banten. He began planning the presence of a political dynasty in Banten. He saw bright opportunities after Banten officially became a province from 2000.

Haji Chasan does not want to be proud. He did not advance himself. He chose to advance his family - including his son Ratu Atut as the leader of Banten. At first his son was pushed to become Deputy Governor's representative and succeeded in 2002. That position did not make Queen Atut satisfied.

Haji Chasan then pushed Ratu Atut to run for Governor Candidate (Cagub) in the 2006 Banten Pilkada. Ratu Atut was then paired with Muhammad Masduki. Queen Atut's chances of victory were considered high.

Queen Atut believes that she will be able to exceed other candidates. However, the political map changed. Queen Atut had to face a strong candidate from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Zulkieflimansyah, who is paired with famous actress Marissa Haque.

Political contestation is not easy. Marissa's popularity is considered a big blow to the voice of Queen Atut.

"Missa was determined because of her capability and publication or popularity. It doesn't matter even though she is from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP). We have no primordialism problems," said the chairman of the Banten PKS DPW, Irfan Mauludi as quoted on the detik.com page, July 31, 2006.

As a result, Ratu Atut was able to win in the 2006 Banten gubernatorial election. She won 40.15 percent of the vote. Meanwhile, her opponent Zul-Missa only won 33.01 percent of the vote. This result made Ratu Atut inaugurated as the new Governor of Banten in 2007. Hope and criticism accompanied his victory.

Queen Atut may be in her spirit to lead Banten. However, Banten residents were made excited by claims from Queen Atut's political opponent in the 2006 gubernatorial election, Marissa. Marissa considered Queen Atut's victory invalid. She considered Queen Atut to have committed fraud.

Ratu Atut's fraud in question is to fake a diploma. Marissa said Queen Atut had used a fake diploma from the Faculty of Economics, Borobudur University. Marissa believes Atut never graduated from Borobudur University in 2005.

Marissa also doubts that Ratu Atut's cumulative Achievement Index (IPK), which was at 2.9. Marissa, then moved quickly to report Ratu Atut for alleged fake diplomas to the Polda Metro Jaya on March 7, 2008. Marissa prepared 112 pieces of evidence that Ratu Atut's diploma was fake, from newspaper clips to transcripts.

The report made the public excited. Ratu Atut was initially not too bothered by Marissa's accusations. However, recently Ratu Atut reacted immediately. He through his lawyer OC Kaligis reported Marissa for defamation to the Polda Metro Jaya on March 12, 2008.

The defamation report was also reported by the foundation owner of Borobudur University, Borobudur Education Foundation. The Foundation report immediately went up for trial at the Tangerang District Court. As a result, Marissa was proven to have defamation.

Marissa is required to pay compensation of Rp. 500 million. The film player was also asked to make an apology in the two newspapers "The voice of the update and the People of Merdeka". The verdict was present and at the same time proved what Marissa had accused Queen Atut of being untrue.

Marissa herself was disappointed with the decision of the Tangerang District Court. Marissa also felt that there was interference and support from the President of Indonesia at that time, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) behind Ratu Atut's decision to participate in the 2006 Banten gubernatorial election.
