JAKARTA - The production house Miles Films presents their latest film titled Paranoia. This film is different from Miles' release which is synonymous with drama and family genres. This time, they chose a thriller as the main concept.

Through a virtual press conference, Riri Riza and Mira Lesmana expressed their joy for the film Paranoia.

“I'm really happy because some of these things are new territory for Miles. We decided to explore other genres,” said producer Mira Lesmana today, October 11.

The existence of a pandemic does not completely prevent Mira Lesmana and director Riri Riza from working on Paranoia. They claim to have a choice about who will play a role in this film.

Lukman Sardi, Nirina Zubir, Nicholas Saputra, and Caitlin North-Lewis also felt happy. Nirina admitted that she was nervous even though she had only read part of the script.

“Looking at the script, Na (Nirina's nickname) many times was nervous. I'm happy because I was given the opportunity (to play) with Lukman, Nico, so there's a lot of excitement," explained Nirina Zubir,

Nicholas Saputra also appeared different for the character Raka. "Physically different. What is certain is that Raka's character will provide additional excitement in this film. From the start, the film was exciting and tense, Raka's character will complement it to make the story better," said Nico.

The youngest, on the other hand, Caitlin North-Lewis had a new experience through Paranoia. “I was given one on one time with Mas Riri, Mas Nico, Mba Nirina to build our relationship. I personally haven't played as many films as they have," explained Caitlin North-Lewis.

Paranoia tells of the escape of Dina (Nirina Zubir) and her daughter Laura (Caitlin North-Lewis) from Gion (Lukman Sardi). They look for a place to hide and meet Raka (Nicholas Saputra). The meeting led them to the next conflict.

It is known that on Sunday, October 10, the film Paranoia won four nominations for the 2021 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI), including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Female Actor, and Best Sound Producer.

Paranoia will hit theaters on November 11, 2021.
