SNSD's Tiffany And Sunmi Become K-pop Masters On Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999'

JAKARTA - SNSD's Tiffany and Sunmi will join the newest survival show Girls Planet 999 on Mnet.

Today, Monday, June 14, Mnet confirmed the participation of SNSD's Sunmi and Tiffany after Yeo Jin Goo was announced as a presenter.

Girls Planet 999 is a program containing Korean, Chinese, and Japanese participants who have dreams of debuting in an idol group despite different cultures and languages. They will unite in an imaginary world called Girls Planet.

Through the released teaser, Yeo Jin Goo was seen talking to two women, namely SNSD's Sunmi and Tiffany. They will become K-pop Masters who are mentors and role models for the contestants.

“This time, I met the 'K-pop Masters' and they are both pioneers of K-pop music. I like watching television. My friends really like them, and I'm a fan of (both) too", said Yeo Jin Goo.

"I'm a little embarrassed to say it but I (and Tiffany) are two people from a large second-generation K-pop group. Tiffany and I have different musical styles but it's interesting to look forward to our chemistry", said Sunmi.

Sunmi is a member of the Wonder Girls who has a successful career as a solo singer. Tiffany, who is known as the Girls Generation group, also received international acclaim thanks to her music.

The Girls Planet 999 program will air starting next August.
