JAKARTA - Actress Amara Sophie shared her mystical experience while filming the latest horror film directed by Hestu Saputra titled Aku Harus Mati.

Playing the character Tiwi, Amara admitted that he often experienced events beyond reason, one of which was 'being trapped' by ghosts.

The 25-year-old revealed that she was indeed sensitive and vulnerable to tempelan even long before joining the film project.

"It's true that before this filming it was easy to 'get caught up'. So, during this filming, there were quite a lot of catches," said Amara Sophie when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 26.

Instead of on the set, Amara said that the series of horror experiences he experienced while resting at the inn. This often happens considering the shooting schedule which is often only completed in the early hours of the morning.

One of the most memorable experiences was the door of his hotel room being slammed hard in the middle of the night. The hotel had an excuse that the sound came from a rat, but Amara felt that the reason was completely illogical.

"Every night I was really scared. Then when I told the hotel staff, 'what is this?', he said, 'It's a rat'. But it doesn't make sense because it was really bad," said Amara.

"Also, how do I know if I have a bruise, it's a bruise," he added.

The mystical disturbances that continue to occur every midnight also have an impact on his sleep. Amara admitted that he did not dare to close his eyes and often had strange dreams that resembled the point of view of surveillance cameras (CCTV).

"There are many moments where because of the 2-hour 3-hour disturbance like that, I finally couldn't sleep if the sun hadn't risen. And I often dream of CCTV like that. So for example, here we are, the perspective of the dream is CCTV see me who is like this," said Amara.

"The only difference is that the CCTV is when I'm sleeping, yes I see that I'm sleeping with the creatures that are around me," he added.

The series of illogical events eventually made the actress physically exhausted because her energy was drained. Although it did not damage the production, he often fell asleep while waiting for his turn to take pictures (take scene).

Interestingly, the crew and other actors chose to be silent and only told Amara that he was in a hurry on the last day of filming.

"Interfering with the shooting may not be too much, but I always sleep every scene. Because I'm tired, because I'm following it. And the people there didn't say that I was in a hurry until the last day," he concluded.

For information, the film Aku Harus Mati not only features Amara Sophie, but also stars a row of other young actors such as Hana Saraswati and Prasetya Agni. The plan is, this film will enliven the Indonesian cinema screen starting April 2, 2026.
