JAKARTA - Actor Kevin Spacey is rumored to be returning to acting through a film directed by Franco Nero.

Speaking to Variety today, KiiNero is preparing an independent film titled L'uomo Che Disegnò Dio. Spacey is said to have appeared in the film as a cameo.

Spacey plays a police officer investigating a case while Nero plays the lead.

In addition to them, the film also stars Nero's wife Vanessa Redgrave. Just like Spacey, Redgrave only made a cameo.

"I'm so glad Kevin (Spacey) agreed to participate in my film. I think he's a great actor and I can't wait to start his movie," Franco Nero told ABC News.

It's Spacey's latest film after a sexual harassment case that emerged in the public eye in 2017.

At least 20 men reported abuse by the actor at a theatre in London, The Old Vic between 1995 and 2013. Then, three years ago, Spacey also reported a woman in Nantucket sexually assaulted her in the summer of 2016.

The case did not proceed after the victim retracted the report and lawsuit. Spacey was found not guilty.

Two cases of harassment dealt with in Los Angeles also stopped because they crossed the deadline and one of the victims died.

Last year, a man from New York sued Spacey and claimed the actor committed violence in 1980 when the victim was just 14 years old.

Since her harassment case came to light, Spacey has been cast in the Netflix series House of Cards.

The last film he starred in, Billionaire Boys Club (2018) made only $ 2.7 million - a low for box office size.

In the midst of his hiatus, Spacey is seen actively uploading videos on his YouTube channel. He recorded his daily life and activities which were watched more than a million times.
