Expert Witness At Nikita Mirzani's Trial: Threat Is Urges Someone To Hand Over Money

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Nikita Mirzani trial in the alleged case of threats and money laundering (TPPU) presented linguistic witnesses or linguists.

During the trial, Nikita Mirzani asked a question to a linguistic expert witness, Madul Subuki about his actions voicing the truth on social media, including threats or not.

"Ahli, apakah apakah ada seseorang yang menyarakan suatu kebenaran dalam ruang publik atau media sosial mengenai suatu produk yang terbukti overclaim dan berbahaya, dapat dikategorikan dengan kata-kata pengancaman sebagaimana pengeraman?," tanya Nikita Mirzani saat sidang, Kamis, 28 Agustus.

Mabuki Subuki also replied that conveying about products that were overclaim and dangerous was not an act of threats.

However, for him, the threatening act was seen when Nikita's side through Mail asked Reza Gladys for money by forcing and threatening to reveal the secrets of Reza Gladys's products.

"Conveying to the public about, I never said, I corrected it first. I never stated, stated that the product was overclaim or then what it was, and it was dangerous, it was a threat," explained Madul Subuki.

"What I declare is that I threaten to urge someone to hand over money, 'if you don't want to, I will reveal the secret about the overclaim product earlier'," he continued.

"So the threat is not to talk about it in public, but the threat is that you threaten it, use it to scare other people," he added.

Although what Nikita Mirzani said was facts, Mabukin Subuki explained that the facts or not of information did not change the essence of threats.

"If that's a fact?" asked Nikita Mirzani again.

"Yes, it has nothing to do with facts or not. For example, you know I killed. No one knows anything other than you kill me. Then you say this, 'If you don't give me 1 billion, I will reveal to the public that you have killed your brother,', for example. That, the threat is not revealing it. Previously, Reza Gladys had given testimony as a reporting witness in the trial where she confirmed the alleged extortion committed by Nikita Mirzani's assistant, Ismail Marzuki.
