JAKARTA - Paramount Pictures has shared the last trailer for A Quiet Place Part II, which is confirmed to premiere in theaters on May 28. This film is the highly anticipated sequel to 2018's A Quiet Place.
Taking the part where the first film stops, Part II follows the surviving members of the Abbott family navigating a world where sound has become especially deadly, following Lee's death.
This film stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Cillian Murphy, and Noah Jupe. John Krasinski, whose character sacrifices his life to protect his family in the first film, appears in flashbacks.
A Quiet Place Part II was directed by Krasinski, who also wrote a screenplay based on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. Krasinski, JoAnn Perritano, and Allyson Seeger serve as executive producers, while Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller serve as producers.

In March, Krasinski told Variety that he hesitated when Paramount approached him to make a sequel to his horror debut. While the first A Quiet Place was a critical and commercial success, the actor-director was worried that the second film would not be able to capture the same magic. Then he came up with an idea that excited him.
"I have a small idea, which is to make Millie (Millicent Simmonds, who plays Regan Abbott) as the main character in the film", said Krasinski as reported by Variety, quoted by Antara, Friday. "I not only thought she was going to put on an amazing performance, which I knew she could do, but her character opened the door to all the themes I faced in the first film".
Simmonds, who is deaf and communicates via American Sign Language, said she helped Krasinski improve her ASL skills while on the set of "Part II".
While Krasinski calls A Quiet Place a "love letter" to his children, he sees Part II as the opposite.
"If the first film is from parents to children, this is a love letter from the child to the parents", said Krasinski. "It was a letter of dreams and hopes. I hope (my children are) this brave, and I hope they are the ones who, when it's dark, they can come to light the candles too".
