JAKARTA - Everyone has a color preference in dress or dress up. However, not a few feel confused or afraid to try new colors, especially the brighter or bold. This was also felt by actress Amanda Rawles, who had doubts and preferred colors to be safe before knowing her personal color.
Amanda shared her story about the journey of finding the most suitable color for her. This was revealed through the Press Conference Wardah Colorverse 2025 event.
"I was confused and I was really afraid. I was afraid to try the bright colors, the bold ones. So just choose the safe ones. You've found a suitable color, that's all," he said, when met at Senayan City, Jakarta on Friday, February 7th.
However, everything changed after he found out about his personal color, namely warm object. The concept of personal color refers to the colors that best match the characteristics of a person's skin color, especially based on the undertone.
Undertone is the basic role of the skin which is divided into three main categories, namely cool undertone, warm undertone, and neutral undertone.
In the personal color test, a person will be grouped into one of the four color seasons, namely Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, each of which has its own color spectrum.
Amanda herself is included in the warm autumn category, which means warm colors, such as chocolate, orange, olive green, and brick red, will match her skin better. After knowing it, he was more confident in trying out the new colors.
"After I found out about my personal color, warm and beautiful, I became more daring to try the colors that fall into my undertone spectrum," he explained.
Before knowing the personal color concept, Amanda often felt that she did not match certain colors and thought that the problem was on her own skin.
"In the past, I always felt that my skin might be too dark, so I wore this (color) that didn't match," he recalled.

However, after undergoing a personal color test, he realized that the problem was not in the color of his skin, but in the color selection that did not match his undertone.
One of the biggest benefits of knowing personal color is increasing self-confidence. Amanda herself admits that after knowing the colors that are suitable for her, she is more comfortable with her skin tone and no longer feels doubtful.
"So after knowing my problem, I can also be more comfortable with my skin tone. By knowing my personal color, I will be more confident," he concluded.
