Choi Minhwan Absent Appears With FT ISLAND Impact Of Yulhee's Video

JAKARTA - Choi Minhwan did not appear with FT ISLAND in the near future after being involved in the controversy revealed by his ex-wife, Yulhee. Therefore, he will be absent from several of his band schedules in the future.

Through his YouTube video, Yulhee revealed one of the reasons he divorced Minhwan was because his husband often went to the karaoke room and rented prostitution. The former LABOUM member even uploaded a voice recording of Minhwan's transaction of a karaoke staff.

After the video circulated, FT ISLAND's agency, FNC Entertainment stated that Minhwan would withdraw from media activities including appearing at the Return of Superman event.

However, he briefly appeared with FT ISLAND at their single concert in Taiwan on October 26. He participated by playing from the backstage and did not appear in public.

Because of this, the public questioned the agency's plan for Minhwan's appearance. FT ISLAND will appear at the 2024 Grand Mint Festival which will be held on November 2.

Through his new statement, the agency again straightened out that two FT ISLAND members were still confirmed to appear while Minhwan would be absent from the stage.

"The drum position of Choi Minhwan will be filled with other musicians while other FT ISLAND members plan to appear on schedule based on a prepared setlist without any issues," said FNC Entertainment.

"We apologize to the Grand Mint Festival and fans and audiences who feel confused. We ask for your understanding," they continued.

Minhwan has not responded to Yulhee's statement regarding her until now.
