Handover Of The Position Of Minister Of Tourism And Minister Of Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno: Please Give The Best Contribution

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/The Tourism and Creative Economy Agency held a handover ceremony from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Indonesian Advanced Cabinet Tourism and Creative Economy Agency to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Red and White Cabinet Creative Economy Agency (period 2024-2029).

The handover of positions was carried out by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency for the period 2020-2024 Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno to the Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana and the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya during the event which took place at Balairung Soesilo Soedarman, Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Monday (21/10/2024) afternoon.

Widiyanti Putri Wardhana and Teuku Rifki Harsya were previously appointed as Minister of Tourism and Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency at the inauguration ceremony which took place at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday (21/10/2024) morning.

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno in his speech said on behalf of himself and also the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Wamenparekraf/Wakaparekraf) for the 2019-2024 period Angela Tanoesoedibjo as well as all Indonesian tourism and creative economy people, welcome and welcome to duty to the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the new Creative Economy Agency.

"We are grateful for the presence of God Almighty, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, that these two important portfolios (tourism and creative economy) have been given the mandate to the two best figures of the nation," said Sandiaga Uno.

He believes that under his second leadership, the achievement of tourism and the creative economy will be much better in the future.

"I appeal to all ranks in tourism and the creative economy to make the best contribution to these two extraordinary figures," said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga also expressed his high apologies and appreciation to all levels of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy who have provided the best support in tourism development and the creative economy.

"More and my lack on behalf of Mbak Wamen (Angela Tanoesoedibjo) and Mbak Nur (Nur Asia Uno) apologize from the bottom of their hearts and say thank you for their cooperation. Hopefully, our friendship will never be broken," said Sandiaga.

The Minister of Tourism, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, in her speech was very honored to be able to continue the leadership relay for the development of the tourism sector from Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno.

"This is a big responsibility, but I am very enthusiastic to work hard with all levels of the Ministry of Tourism," said Menpar Widiyanti.

Widiyanti revealed that her role in the business world for more than 30 years has provided many experiences about the importance of mature strategies and efficient work and collaboration with various parties to achieve big goals.

"With this background, I bring a new perspective and enthusiasm to advance the world of Indonesian tourism in the future," said Widiyanti.

Indonesia's tourism sector has now achieved various major achievements. Indonesia's tourism competitiveness in the 2024 TTDI is ranked 22 out of 119 countries in the world.

"In the future, we have big challenges, especially in developing Indonesia's tourism potential. This transition is an important moment to ensure continuity and acceleration in achieving ministry targets. Input from Pak Sandi and Mrs. Angela is certainly very important to ensure the transition runs smoothly and sustainably," said Widiyanti.

The same thing was conveyed by the Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya. Under the leadership of Sandiaga Uno and Angela Tanoesoedibjo, there has been a major transformation in the creative economy sector.
