JAKARTA - What makes a country considered great? There is one thousand factors that need to be considered. Starting from costs, security, political stability, the tourism sector, scenery, and many more.

Taking all this into account, the US News and World Report published the Best State Ranking for 2024. This study was conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Reporting from the Time Out page, this survey has been published for 2024. A survey of nearly 17,000 participants on 89 different countries from the rest of the world used to compile this list.

Despite some changes from last year's ranking, the country that was crowned remains the same.

Switzerland has claimed the title of the best country in the world, not only for the third year in a row, but for the seventh time in total.

As a context, this research has only lasted nine years, of which the other two winners were Germany in 2016 and Canada in 2021.

So, what makes Switzerland get this award? We can all enjoy stunning chocolate, cheese, and Alps views, but researchers have also recently reported how expensive it is to live here.

According to research, Switzerland does not occupy the top of 10 analysis subcategories, which include things such as legacy, power and social goals, as well as cultural influences.

Switzerland ranks second best as a place to do business and third best for quality of life. Switzerland is also ranked high for political stability.
