Aisyah Aqilah And Jeff Smith Star In The Latest Series, I Don't Hate The Rain

JAKARTA - Aisyah Aqilah and Jeff Smith were brought together from the latest drama series, I Don't Hate the Rain. This drama is the latest original production from VIU which is adapted from a novel of the same name by Sri Puji Hartini.

Apart from the two, this series also stars Gabriel Prince, Farrell Akbar, Femila Sinukaban, Yessica Tamara, Ryan Winter, and senior actress Mona Ratuliu.

I Don't Hate The Rain tells the story of Launa (Aisyah Aqilah) having to adjust to a new environment and being curious about the figure of Karang (Jeff Smith), an enigmatic student.

Along with the development of the story, Launa began to realize the various personalities in Karang, including his dual personality, which brought their relationship to a more emotional and challenging direction.

Set in school, I Don't Hate Rain with psychological themes and mental health exploration that are rarely explored in Indonesian dramas. Launa's investigation of Karang's figure presents a unique combination of warm humor and the dark side of trauma and family secrets.

"Acting is actually about honesty. So to explore Karang's character, it's enough to tear your heart apart. With the situation that happened, especially in the family, then an unconscious character was formed, including Agha and Banu. Agha is antagonist, while Banu is a 16-year-old who can only speak English," said Jeff Smith.

This Karang character really loves her mother very much. But her mother has many problems of her own, so she hates Karang. And Karang's desire is only one, that is, to get love from her mother," continued Jeff.

As for Aisyah, this is a very challenging drama. Launa is a cheerful and extrovert person. There are a few similarities between me and Launa. I really like the scene of the person, but this Launa is even more excited," said Aisyah Aqilah.
