JAKARTA - A number of the latest Korean dramas will air starting in October. Some dramas are spin-offs or new stories from characters or plots in a series or drama.

Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun will meet in the spin-off of the drama No Gain No Love, as will Lee Joon Hyuk who returns to play his iconic character Seo Dong Jae through the drama Secret Forest.

Spice Up Our Love is a spin-off of No Gain No Love. Nam Ja Yeon (Han Ji Hyun) is a popular R-rated web novel writer while Bok Gyu Hyun (Lee Sang Yi) is her lover. They brought to life the web novel written by Nam Ja Yeon where Lee Sang Yi became CEO and Han Ji Hyun became a diet practitioner at the same company. This drama consists of 2 episodes released on October 3 on Prime Video.

My Merry Marriage tells the story of Maeng Kong Hee (Park Ha Na) inheriting the strength of his father and mother. He has Maeng Kong Bu (Lee Eun Hyung) who works as a doctor. Maeng Kong Hee works as a contract designer at J-Fashion. There, he faced his best friend and lived his daily life. My Merry Marriage premieres October 7 on VIU.

Family by Choice tells the story of Kim San Ha (Hwang In Yeop), Yoon Joo Won (Jung Chae Yeon) and Kang Hae Joon (Bae Hyun Sung). The three of them were friends in their youth. 10 years passed, they met again and their love story started. Adapted by a Chinese drama entitled Go Ahead, this drama consists of 16 episodes starting October 9 at VIU.

The spin-off of Secret Forest, Seo Dong Jae (Lee Joon Hyuk) is a prosecutor who works in Cheongju's office. He is an ambitious person and prioritizes himself as a successful prosecutor. However, because of his label as a corrupt prosecutor, his career is threatened. One day he gets a murder case in high school and starts looking for an opportunity. 10 episodes will air starting October 10.

Jang Tae Soo (Han Suk Kyu) is the legendary criminal profiler in Korea. At home, he took care of his own son, Jang Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin). Once upon a time, he worked on a murder case and realized his son was involved in the case. Doubt will air from October 11 and can be watched on Netflix.

Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born tells the story of an ordinary girl Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a participant in the training of Maeran Gukgeuk-dan (Teater company), competing and developing with her biggest rival, Youngseo (Shin Ye Eun). With a dream to become one of the best players in a Korean female classic opera, she will perform on stage where all obstacles block her. The drama will air from 12 October on Disney+ Hotstar.

In Geumje in 1992, four women started a adult product sales business by visiting the door of each other's homes. They struggle to start a business, seek independent finance and friendship. The drama stars Kim So Yeon, Kim Sung Ryoung, Kim Sun Young and Lee Se Hee, which starts airing on October 12 on Netflix.

Different from the film, Love in the Big City has an adaptation with different actors. Mi Ae (Lee Soo Kyung) and Go Yeong (Nam Yoon Su) are good friends and go through the world amidst their judgment on their decision. Go Yeong found his love but they were in conflict. This drama consists of 8 episodes that will be released on October 21.

The second season Hellbound 2 features Kim Sung Cheol as a substitute for Yoo Ah In. In this second season, Jung Jin Soo (Kim Sung Cheol) and Park Jung Ja (Kim Shin Rok) experienced a revival.
