JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) together with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) opened the 2025 BUMN Free Homecoming program on March 14-18, 2025.
This homecoming program will be implemented from 4 cities from departure with a total quota of more than 11 thousand participants.
PLN's Legal and Human Capital Management Director, Yusuf Didi Setiarto explained, in the 2025 BUMN Free Homecoming program, his party provides various majors from 4 departure cities, namely Jakarta, Makassar, Balikpapan, and Medan.
In addition to opening opportunities for the public to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 2025 in their hometowns, this program also aims to divert users of private vehicles, especially motorbikes to public transportation.
"In this program, we provide safe and comfortable modes of bus, ship and train transportation for all participants. With this, we hope that it will not only reduce congestion and risk of accidents, but also pollution," said Yusuf Didi, Friday, March 14.
He detailed, of the total of more than 11,000 quotas for travelers, PLN opened more than 9,000 quotas for departures from Jakarta, 1,000 quotas from Makassar, 700 quotas from Balikpapan, and more than 500 quotas for departure from Medan.
With so many quotas provided, PLN invites all interested people to immediately register through the PLN Mobile application.
"The number of quotas for homecoming participants in 2025 will increase by 18 percent compared to 2024. In this year's SOE Free Homecoming moment, the fleet used is dominated by trains with a total quota of 7,002 participants," explained Yusuf Didi.
Re-registration and confirmation of participant departures will be carried out in the period 20-21 March 2025 as well as taking homecoming souvenirs.
"Especially for the departure of homecoming together from Jakarta, it will be carried out on March 26-27, 2025, for the train fleet to depart from Pasar Senen Station, while the bus fleet will depart from the Central PLN Office," concluded Yusuf Didi.
