JAKARTA - The Oceans franchise is rumored to be back in production. The two main characters, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are said to be considering joining the production of their latest film.

Citing Deadline, director Edward Berger was appointed to direct this film, replacing Steven Soderbergh who worked on several previous films.

Pitt and Clooney are also in discussions about returning to Ocean's 14. Apart from the two, several names are also reportedly being considered for a return, including Matt Damon and Casey Affleck.

Previously, George Clooney had revealed that the script for Ocean's new film had been written and the background for the story would take Ocean's 13 which was released in 2007.

"We have a really good script for other Oceans so we might make it," said George Clooney.

Naskahnya sangat bagus. Saya tidak mau menyebutnya, tapi ideanya seperti Going in Style, katanya.

The Ocean's franchise was inspired by Ocean's 11 which aired in 1960 and directed by Lewis Milestone. The story focuses on a group of professional thieves who undergo theft according to their client's request.

Brad Pitt and George Clooney starred in Ocean's trilogy directed by Steven Soderbergh since the 2000s. They were met through Wolfs which was released this month.

In addition to the new film, a prequel film is also reportedly being worked on by director Jay Roach with producer Tom Akkerley and Margot Robbie.
