Singer Kris Dayanti had announced that he had canceled his withdrawal from the nomination for Mayor of Batu as he previously said on his personal Instagram yesterday. However, now Kris Dayanti is again confident in advancing in the contestation for the election of the Mayor of Batu.

"InshaAllah, I will run for the mayor election in Batu in 2024," said Kris Dayanti in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, Friday, August 23.

This was decided by Kris Dayanti after going through various considerations and family support, especially his two children Aurel and Azriel Hermansyah.

"With the permission of Allah SWT and his husband and family who are very supportive. Please pray for the blessing of the Indonesian people," he continued.

"I just said 'give mimi space for contemplation'. In politics, you really want a noble goal," continued Kris Dayanti.

Kris Dayanti admitted that he had doubts when he was appointed directly by the Chairperson of the PDI-P Party, Megawati Soekarno Putri.

The reason is that if he accepts this offer, he will carry out 3 roles at once, namely the wife, mother and mayor who are in great responsibility.

"There is nothing too much, he said this is a dynamic feeling. There is no feeling of doubt or doubt, only I am faced with the position of a woman's wife and mother who has a large enough side, a very high response to responsibility," he said.

"So I feel that this year I was faced with legislative and executive contection. Frankly, during my 5 years of duty there were doubts and anxiety. I left many tasks as a wife, my children were already very large," he said.
