JAKARTA - Charlie Cox revealed that he was contacted by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige about Daredevil's return. He explained that the project was notified in 2020, several years before Marvel announced Daredevil: Born Again.

Then, Cox was told that the series was canceled. Charlie Cox himself appeared with his character in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home.

"We stopped filming the series in late 2016, early 2018 and only found out the production was canceled," Charlie Cox quoted Variety as saying.

"And then in mid-2020, we were contacted Kevin said they were interested in bringing the character back," he said.

However, Marvel Studios hasn't contacted Charlie Cox since then. He is also still communicating with Vincent D'Onofrio who plays Kingpin. Both hope they can play the series again.

"I've moved on and usually Vincent and I like to talk and he likes to say like 'Oh they seem to be in contact with us' and I said 'This guy isulant! He has to move on. It's been almost 10 years and he's always like that,' he said.

Two years later, Charlie Cox was shocked when he was told Daredevil would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He will have his own series titled Daredevil: Born Again revealed by Disney on the D23 Expo.

Apart from Cox, the series will star Jon Bernthal, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Wilson Bethel. Several new players are Michael Gandolfin, total Levieva, Jeremy Earl and Ayelet Zurer.

The Daredevil: Born Again series is scheduled to air in 2025 while Disney is developing its second season.
