Sad News From The Notebook Star, Gena Rowlands Dies 94 Years Old

JAKARTA - The legendary actress, Gena Rowlands passed away on Wednesday, August 14 at her residence in Indian Wells, Calif. This news was confirmed by the agent of her son, Nick Cassavetes, explaining that her mother had Alzheimer's before leaving for good.

Gena Rowlands started her career on the Broadway stage when she starred in a number of stages. Then he marked his acting in the film with The High Cost of Loving in 1958.

Born under the name Virginia Cathryn Rowlands in Madison, WSC. Rowlands attended Wisconsin before choosing to go out to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He married John Cassavetes and worked together for several films.

He collaborated with John Cassavetes in 10 films, including Faces (1968), Minnie and Moscowitz (1971), Opening Night (1977), and Love Streams (1984). In addition, Rowlands also collaborated with several other well-known directors such as Paul Mazursky, Paul Schrader, and Woody Allen.

In terms of television, Gena Rowlands also won three of the eight Emmy Awards nominations for The Betty Ford Story (1987), Face of a Stranger (1992), and Hysterical Blindness (2003).

He actively acts in a number of films, such as The Notebook, Paris Je Taime, Yellow and many others. In 2015, he revealed that he had retired from acting.

His last acting credit was the film Parts Per Billion in 2014 and Dancing for Six Weeks with Joshua Jackson.
