JAKARTA - Alien Film: Romulus directed by FedeEVarez is the latest science fiction genre film to be present in theaters. This film is a standalone film from the Alien world that occurred in the films Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).

This film will mark the Alien film franchise which is several years apart. Therefore, the background of the story will take a distance between the two previous films.

Alien: Romulus tells the story of a group of teenagers trying to steal wealth in space. They are on an adventure to explore outer space whose carcasses have long been abandoned in the hope of finding a treasure.

They are Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny), Andy (David Jonsson), Tyler (Archie Renaux), Kay (Isabela Merced), Bjorn (Spike Fearn), and Navarro (Aileen Wu).

Rain, an orphan, hopes to find a better life. He left the Jackson's Star, a mining area where he lives. Rain joins his friends for the exploration.

They thought the space carcass was empty and uninhabited. Until they found a group of mysterious aliens who attacked them. It turned out that they accidentally woke up a terrible alien creature who was hunting.

Rain, which has the ability to use it with weapons, began to use it to fight alien attacks. Will they survive? The answer can be found through the film Alien: Romulus.

This film was produced by AJ Scott who directed the Alien's first two films. The Alien: Romulus film will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting August 14, 2024.
