Agency Finally Confirms Jeon Soyeon (G)I-DLE Contract Issues Completed In November 2024

JAKARTA - The day after their statement, Cube Entertainment explained the exclusive contract of Jeon Soyeon (G)I-DLE which is coming to an end. This is also related to Soyeon's solo appearance at her group's single concert recently.

The members got a solo stage to perform alone, including their leader, Jeon Soyeon. But surprisingly, Jeon Soyeon appeared on a rap containing lyrics that their contract would expire in November this year.

"The member contract update is scheduled for next year. Jeon Soyeon's lyrics are only part of the performance," Cube said on Tuesday, August 6.

However, on Tuesday, August 6, Jeon Soyeon personally explained that the agency knew what she was preparing, including her appearance. This answer is thought to be related to the agency's response which said rap Soyeon was only part of the performance.

Cube also said the contract renewal of five members (G)I-DLE will continue next year. The agency then released an official statement that Jeon Soyeon's contract will expire in November and find out Soyeon's performance.

They also stated that they had never spoken about Jeon Soyeon's appearance specifically. They made a statement for fear of employee responses being considered a response to the company.

"Because individual opinion has spread as if the agency's official statement, we apologize for worrying many people who gave Soyeon and (G) I-DLE for their love and we made an official statement," the agency said on Wednesday, August 7.

"We are aware of Soyeon's lyrics entitled 'is this b*** number?' Moreover, it is true that the writing that says Soyeon's contract is about to expire, and we are in the process of discussing contract renewal," the agency continued.

"We thank fans who always give (G)I-DLE for their support," the agency said.
