Vacuum Almost A Year, Lia ITZY Ready For Activities Again

JAKARTA - Lia will be active with ITZY after almost a year of vacuum. Her presence in the celebration of the five-year fan group with ITZY was a surprise for fans.

Broadcast on July 8, Lia appeared with short hair BOB with a green parachute jacket. He greeted their fans named MIDZY and marked his first activity.

Lia chose a hiatus since September 2023 for health reasons as stated by her agency, JYP Entertainment. She is absent from the series of tours and promotions of the new ITZY album.

Now, JYP Entertainment has stated that Lia is ready to work with ITZY after 10 months of rest.

"After treatment and rest, the symptoms of anxiety have decreased. After discussing with Lia, it was decided that she would continue activities starting from the new ITZY album which is planned to be released in the second half of this year," JYP Entertainment said on Tuesday, July 9.

This indicates that although Lia can do activities again, new fans actually meet Lia through her new album, not with ITZY's current activities.

For the predetermined schedule and filming before the release of the album, only four members (Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna) will join. We ask for your understanding," said JYP.

We thank fans who have always supported Lia's healing. We are committed to supporting our artists so that they can meet fans in good health, thank you," concluded the agency.

In February, Lia together with the four ITZY members created a personal Instagram account. Lia uploaded photos with ITZY while giving messages to fans.

"Creating this account to share love with everything I care about," wrote Lia.
