JAKARTA - Jakarta Movin in collaboration with Tiga Dua Satu presents a musical entitled Interaction. The title is an adaptation of the lyrics of the song of the same name from an Indonesian singer, Tulus.
This musical was written by Nuya Susantono, Kristo Immanuel, and Pradipta Kartika to try something new, namely cross industry after the successful adaptation of original stories such as Sherina's Adventure and Check Shop Next door.
"We made this concept in 2022 from there to see also, oh, there are many musical and cross industry audiences. Jakarta Movin always looks for new ways with cross industry by connecting the music industry. Musician discography which has strong potential to be said in musicals," said Nuya Susantono as producer and director of the Interaction musical at the Indonesia Kaya Gallery, Central Jakarta today, Thursday, June 27.

"Tulus tuh lagunya punya berbagai mood yang kita bangun selengkap lagu Tulus. Semua emosi tadi kita dalam bentuk teater musikan. Sangat lyrical dan storytelling jadi kita bisa mendengar lagu Tulus somehow cerita kita seperti lagunya," jelas Kristo Immanuel.

Tulus as the owner of the song also joined as a creative supervision to direct the story to be in line with his interpretation and desires. Nuya and Kristo feel lucky because Tulus gave a positive response to the story they made.
"We give several options (the title) and Sis Tulus chose the Interaction. There are many interpretations and they go into our stories on how the main characters interact with the audience, so they summarize the concepts we offer," said Nuya.
The Interaction musical will focus on four main characters, namely Dio (Alvian Lapian) who tries to move on by establishing a relationship with his office friend, Matahari (Rahmania Astrini). The conflict began when Dio's friend, Nadia (Maisha Kanna) chose to date Dio's childhood enemy, Fajar (Nicho Benito).
"I am happy that the lyrics of the song I wrote will be adapted for the first time into a musical theater performance entitled Interaction is produced and organized by Jakarta Movin. Hopefully, the implementation will be smooth and memorable. Continue to move forward to the world of Indonesian performing arts," said Tulus.
Apart from the Interaction, there are 22 Tulus songs taken from the singer's discography. This musical will also display interactions with the audience to impress the storyline.
"The story is related to young people who hear stories similar to the musical of this interaction," said Alvian Lapian.
The Interaction Musical will take place from 16 to 18 August 2024 at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta. All tickets will be available from Friday, June 28 through Tiket.com.
