EXO-CBX Sues SM Entertainment, Apologizes To Fans

The day after being sued by his old agency EXO-CBX consisting of Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin announced that they would sue SM Entertainment as well for its unfair distribution of profits.

This week, three EXO members who joined Baekhyun - INB100's agency announced that SM Entertainment was unfair. The old agency did not provide 5.5 percent of the music distribution but asked for 10 percent of the income of their individual activities.

SM then responded that the three of them ended their premature exclusive contract and they signed a 10-percent payment agreement for individual activities as a result of the expiration of the contract. The agency also stated that there was no agreement on distribution costs because they could not determine.

SM then sued EXO-CBX for failing to fulfill the contract and claiming they were acting like this because MC Mong and Cha Ga Won.

Today, Friday, June 14, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin announced they are preparing to sue SM Entertainment for profit distribution. At the press conference, their representatives claimed to know SM would sue them, therefore they held a press conference.

We once again asked SM's position regarding our criticism. At a press conference we also submitted an agreement to pay SM's music, assets and names compared to 10 percent of our income, but SM rejected this proposal," said INB100.

"In the end, SM did not respond to our negotiations, and they pulled the sword to take legal action," he said.

"Regarding profit sharing that we doubt, we will file a lawsuit against SM. We will take our rights by receiving distribution data results according to legal provisions and exclusive contracts. We will also show that SM's profit-sharing system is false," he said.

On the other hand, EXO-CBX apologizes to fans who should receive news like this. They are aware of fan concerns like last year.

"We are very sorry to disappoint you because of the same issue as last year. In the future, we will minimize official statements and try to resolve them," said INB100.

"We promise to remain Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin who are forever with you. Once again we apologize that you feel unnecessary emotions," concluded the agency.
