The Watchers Debut Ishana Shyamalan Film, Son Of Director M. Night Shyamalan

JAKARTA - The Watchers film marked Ishana Shyamalan's directorial debut on the big screen. Ishana is the daughter of director M. Night Shyamalan, known for a number of horror films he made.

Produced by Warner Bros., this film is adapted from the horror novel by AH Shine, starring Dakota Fanning. The Watchers tells the story of Mina (Dakota Fanning), a 28-year-old artist trapped in a forest in Ireland.

When Mina finds a place, she is trapped with three foreigners who are watched and followed by mysterious creatures every night.

Through the trailer that was released, Mina saw a wall made of glass. He was then told that the wall was a one-way window so they couldn't see the outside direction but they could be seen.

Mina heard applause from outside the window but did not know who the figure was. He knew he was used into the world of entertainment.

Apart from Fanning, this film also stars Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan and Olwen Fouére. The film is also produced by M. Night Shyamalan with Arwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad.

I watched Love Island while writing the script. I enjoy these people teasing each other and being emotional," said Ishana Shyamalan quoting Variety.

"It feels like an experience going on in prison, they are observed in humanity. It feels like an interesting thing to bring this world closer to it," he said.

The Watchers film will premiere in Indonesian cinemas starting June 12.
