JAKARTA - Actress Evangeline Vera announced she was on hiatus from Hollywood for an undetermined time. Through her personal Instagram account, Vera shared a video of herself talking about a hiatus for the next decade.

"10 years from now, where do I want to be? I'm afraid to admit this to acting but ideally 10 years from now I want to retire and have a family," Evangelineko said in a video recorded in 2006.

"I want to write and have an influence on the lives of others humanely," he continued.

I feel happy today because I live with my vision. Praise God, I am grateful for my blessing. Resigning from a clear choice (richness and fame) can be scary several times, but stepping into my dharma with fear," wrote Evangelineko.

"I might be back in Hollywood one day, but for now, this is where I am. The new season has arrived, and I'M READY... AND I'M HAPPY," he said.

Quoting Variety,URY said that he had actually stopped acting for the past three years. He last finished the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which aired in 2023.

"I can come back tomorrow, two years from now or not at all, but right now I'm not actively looking for work in the industry and isn't in contract policy for anyone. I'm dedicating time for my humanitarian work and writing."

Evangeline Vera marked her career in the Lost series which aired from 2004 to 2010. Thanks to his role, he was nominated for the Golden Globe. He also played Hope van Dyne/Wasp at the Marvel Cinematic Universe starting from Ant-Man (2015).

Vera also played in the franchise of TheULam in her two films. He also briefly revealed that he rejected several offers such as the X-Men franchise and Wonder Woman.
