Benedict Cumberbatch Looking For His Son In Eric's Series Trailer

JAKARTA - Benedict Cumberbatch plays the father of his latest series, Eric. The limited series has a 1980 storyline in New York produced by Cumberbatch itself.

Eric tells the story of parents looking for their missing child. Vincent (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Cassie (Gaby Hoffmann) are looking for their child, Edgar (Ivan Morris Howe).

In order to find Edgar, Vincent returned to his job as the mastermind of a puppet show on television to find his son. While the police were still looking for his son, Vincent found one of the pictures made by Edgar, a picture of Eric, a monster doll from Vincent's doll show.

Vincent decided to bring Eric to life in order to attract Edgar's attention and be able to return home.

In the first trailer released, Vincent persuaded Cassie so that she would be allowed to return to work as the mastermind of the puppet show.

"If we can bring Eric to the show, Edgar will see and know how much we want him to go home," said Vincent.

"You're crazy," Cassie replied.

Vincent increasingly felt the pressure that made him change and isolated his family, co-workers, and detectives who helped him. An imagination will come and become the only attempt to bring his son home.

Apart from Cumberbatch, the series also starsELcher III, Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, and many others. This series was also worked on by Abi Morgan who worked on Chernobyl and The Iron Lady.

The series is directed by Lucy Forbes for six episodes.

Benedict Cumberbatch's interest in joining the series is also based on social issues that occur in society.

Eric's series will be released on Netflix on May 30.
