JAKARTA - Sydney divided her career in various genres. Success with Anyone But You (2023), happened to be back with her latest film titled Immaculate.

Dirahkan Michael Mohan, naskah film ini sudah diketahui oleh tahun 2014. Namun pergantian tim produksi membuatnya harus menahan produksi, hingga ia memutuskan menjadi produser dan bekerja sama dengan rumah produksi Neon.

This film combines a psychological side with horror set in the life of a parish in Italy. Check out the synopsis of the Immaculate film below:

Immaculate tells of Sister Cecilia (Sydneyxi) who becomes a nurse after admitting to feeling God's blessing when she drowned in a cold ice lake and is said to have died for seven minutes. Several years serving in the United States, she received an invitation from Pastor Sal Tedeschi (Alvaro Morte) to serve in Italy.

Cecilia accepted the invitation because the monastery where she served was closed. He is also interested in moving to Italy because there the nuns are assigned to accompany the nuns who are at the end of their lives.

There, Cecilia is friends with Nurse Gwen (Benedetta Porcaroli) who often acts at will. Cecilia finds various strange things, one of which is elderly nuns who have crosses on the soles of their feet.

Pastor Sal also claimed this monastery had nails used when Jesus caught it. Strange incidents began to approach Cecilia when she was pregnant even though she was a virgin and insisted she had never had a relationship with any man.

The incident made Cecilia referred to as the next Maria and called the baby in her womb a blessing.

One night, Cecilia was suddenly attacked by Sister Isabelle (Giulia Heathfield Di Renzi) who kept stating that the baby in Cecilia was supposed to be hers. This condition is exacerbated by Cecilia's deteriorating health but she is prohibited from checking herself in the hospital.

Cecilia began to be determined to solve the mysterious side of the monasteries while guarding the womb in her stomach.

The Immaculate film will premiere on May 8, 2024 in Indonesian cinemas.
