Rose And Jackmen's Iconic Doors Sold Out At Auction, Reaches IDR 11 Billion

JAKARTA - Rose and Jack's characters from the filmmen are one of the iconic characters in the film industry. Likewise with their belongings, one of which is the door that is a place to save Rose who was detained by Jack.

Part of the door was one of the items auctioned at the Treasures from Planet Hollywood this week.

Launching Deadline, this event was held by Heritage Auctions which stated that this iconic door sold for USD 718 thousand or approximately IDR 11 billion.

In addition, the door item from the film being auctioned is the bull whip from the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom which is auctioned for 525 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 833 million.

Some of the items from other horror films were also auctioned, such as the ship's wheel to the lavender dress worn by Rose, played by Kate Winslet.

In addition, items from films such as Star Wars, The Shining, to Marilyn Monroe's original dress were also auctioned on that occasion.

On the other hand, the door to the fire had become controversial. In the film, the character Jack, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, gave the door so that Rose could survive in the middle of the sea until Jack was cold and drowned in the sea while Rose survived.

Not a few netizens said Rose could actually give Jack space to get on that door and they survived.

Director James Cameron then responded to the argument by re-engineering and stating that Jack and Rose had the possibility of holding on to the door together.
