Addicted To Playing Horror Films, Iwa K Feels Like An Indonesian Cultural Ambassador

JAKARTA - Horror films are currently very developed and increasingly in a very positive direction. Even in Indonesia, the record for most movie viewers is pocketed by horror films.

Singer Iwa K feels lucky to be part of an Indonesian horror film. Without shame, he admits that he is addicted to playing horror films.

"Asyik, I feel that by playing horror films I am the Indonesian cultural ambassador. For what reason? All forms of ghosts in Indonesia have their own stories. And the story of Indonesia is very distinctive," he said at the thanksgiving ahead of filming the film Anak Kunti in the Ampera area, South Jakarta, Wednesday.

Most recently, Iwa is ready to shoot the film Anak Kunti in Yogyakarta. This film is adapted from the ghost story of Kuntilanak, which has become a legend in Indonesia.

Hantu Kunti stands for the ghost kuntilanak who appears because a woman dies when she is pregnant. "Actually, I don't know much about the origin of Pontianak even though it is a myth that has been ingrained. In terms of the version, her mother has become a film story. I want to join this film because what is discussed is the fate of Kuntilanak's child with the title Anak Kunti," he explained.
