The following is a synopsis of the Chinese drama The Gate of Xuan Wu:

The Gate of Xuan Wu tells of a stakeholder named Li Tian Shun (Ren Zhong) who is determined to protect jade ornaments that can reverse the fate of the country's resistance to evil forces.

Li Tian Shun is a jade stakeblower from a Beijing Old Way. He fights a population gang to protect national property. Even though he grew up among grassroots, he never stepped back or bowed when facing oppression, even as he almost lost his family.

The environment is filled with ordinary people, ranging from Chinese opera singer Yang Shang De (Tong Lei), Li Lian Zhang (Xen Yi), camel herder Ding Guang Yuan (Zhang Xiao Yue).

Then there are meat sellers Ma De Shan (Zhou Zi Yan), antique trader Jin Zhao Ji (Yu Bin), Man Wen Kui (Xian Bin) at the temple, and a woman named Huan He Xiang.

They showed extraordinary courage amidst countless trials. When Ding Liu Lan returned to Old Street as a Communist revolutionary, he brought a glimmer of hope for the future.

Guo Zi Ming and Zhao Yun Zhuo are known to make a special appearance in this 41-episode drama.

This drama finally aired after being announced in 2017.
