James Gunn Announces Superman's New Title: Legacy

JAKARTA - CEO James Gunn announced Superman: Legacy will return with a new title. They broadcast this news along with Superman's birthday which falls on February 29.

Gunn also said that the filming had also begun. The DC Studios leader also shared the film broadcast date.

"I'm excited to announce the SUPERMAN shooting process today, February 29 which occurred on an accidental and unplanned occasion - Superman's birthday," wrote James Gunn.

When I finished the first draft of the script, I mentioned the film Superman: Legacy. But when I saw the final draft, it was clear that the title was SUPERMAN. Will come to you in July 2025," he said.

Superman became DC Universe's first superhero film since the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.

David Corenswet was appointed as the main star. His name is popular through the series The Politician and the film Pearl. In addition, Rachel Brosnahan became Lois Lane.

Reportedly, Nicholas Hoult joined as Lex Total. This news was revealed after Hoult was seen cutting his hair. His new appearance is also seen in the selfie photo shared by James Gunn.

Superman's film is planned to air on July 11, 2025.
