Iqbaal Ramadhan Challenges Himself, Becomes A Producer In The Film Umay Shahab

JAKARTA - Iqbaal Ramadhan explores the world of film by becoming a producer in the latest film entitled Perayaan Mati Rasa. In this film, he will work with Umay Shahab as a director.

This is the first time Iqbaal has produced a film. He admitted that he was enthusiastic because of several things, including how his production house was dominated by the younger generation.

"The main reason I played with Umay in Sinemaku is because Umay is until the only day of regeneration of young directors in Indonesia and this must be supported," said Iqbaal Ramadhan at the 2024 Cinemaku Day today, Wednesday, January 10.

"I also want to participate in representing young people in the Indonesian film industry," he said.

Iqbaal himself was reluctant to divulge what the role and story of the Rasa Dead Celebration would be like. However, he was happy because he grew up with Umay and both were former child singers.

One interesting thing is that it turns out that we work with friends with joys and sorrows. We have been friends for a long time but over time we are close because we have the same childhood," said Iqbaal.

"We feel like someone should start. I like to challenge myself, try new things," he said.

Iqbaal does not deny that in the future he will be interested in becoming a director like Umay, but for now he will focus on his new film with Umay.

"This is not finished yet. I want to finish making sure this can become a creative exploration platform, thanks to Sinemaku," he said.
